Today we’re introducing Sanne Roelofs. She joins Bamboo Brands as our new Marketing Project Manager. We’re excited to work with Sanne to help even more FMCG companies innovate successfully.
Get to know Sanne
What do you enjoy the most about your work?
“Connecting with people is number one for me. I’m a real people person and I get a lot of energy from talking to clients. I also love the mix of working strategically at the office and getting hands-on at the workplace. No two days are the same, and that’s what makes this job so much fun!”
What’s your personal connection to FMCG, or food in particular?
“With six years of experience as a service shift leader in a supermarket, the world of FMCG is second nature to me. But outside of work, food is also a real passion. I’m a true foodie who loves discovering new flavors, cooking for friends and family, and always searching for unique ingredients to experiment with.”
Which recent FMCG innovation really excites you?
“Edible packaging is an amazing innovation. Plastic waste is a major issue, and brands that come up with creative solutions—like seaweed packaging or edible coffee cups—are really making strides toward a more sustainable future.”
What’s your favorite category in the supermarket?
“There are two aisles I always visit: the sports nutrition section and the world cuisine aisle. The first because I’m quite active myself and find it fascinating how this category keeps evolving. The second because I love cooking with flavors from around the world. The great thing is, you no longer need to travel far to find authentic ingredients—the supermarket brings the world right to your doorstep!”
What food could we always wake you up for?
“A matcha with coconut milk or a real pasta carbonara—yes, the proper kind without cream. That’s non-negotiable.”
Anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
“Sports and creativity are a big part of my free time. Right now, I’m focused on boxing training to build both strength and technique. I’m not in the ring just yet, but joining a Muay Thai camp in Thailand is high on my bucket list. I also enjoy being creative—think sculpting candle holders, painting ceramics, or designing candles. And to really unwind, there’s nothing better than diving into a good (audio)book.”
We’re thrilled to welcome Sanne to the team!
