Unique to the In-Home User Assessment is that it starts on the store floor. There we recruit respondents based on their shopper behavior in a certain category. This way you get the most relevant selection of respondents possible that matches your target group.

Our approach:

1. Setup & methodology

Together we define the desired target audience, key demand points and requirements for store selection. Our team is flexible to accommodate your timelines.

2. Project management

For this in-home user test, we take care of everything from store management to logistics. Bamboo Brands has a network of 360+ outlets throughout Europe and we have our own logistics center (frozen/chilled/ambient). If required, we can also take charge of the creation of printed materials and prototypes.
Field research and monitoring

3. Selection of respondents

We recruit respondents on the shop floor, based on their shopper behavior in your desired category. This is to ensure that you get the most relevant selection of respondents possible. If the in-home user test is part of broader qualitative research, we will first question consumers about their expectations of the product.

4. Analysis and reporting

Respondents receive a product sample to take home for testing. They choose a time to use and assess the product. This way we guarantee a realistic test environment. After the moment of use, we conduct a telephone interview to test the experience. Finally, respondents share a QR code with a photo of the real-life moment of use.

5. Analysis and reporting

Our Research Expert will analyze the data once sufficient qualitative insights are collected. As a result, you receive factual insights about the user experience, including to what extent the concept meets the consumers' expectations.
Advice

6. Validation and advice

In a final presentation, we interpret the results of the in-home user test, supported by photos and quotes from respondents. You will also receive advice on how to optimize your concept. As a result, you know the potential of your concept and will have sufficient insights to improve the commercial decision-making process.
